I have made illustrations for an paper-cut stop-motion animated music video. All you see in the video is made by hand and photographed with out any digital effects. I have made the illustrations for the forest and the animals within the forest. ALL THE REST OF THE WORK is done by my brother Jan Rune Blom. The song is “Var jeg en vind” (If I was a wind) by Norwegian singer Helene Bøksle (Song from the CD: “Morild”). It has been fun to be part of this creative process and see the it develop into this wonderful animated music video. Here is the video on Vimeo.

Jeg har laget illustrasjoner til en papirutklippet animert musikk video. Alt du ser i videoen er laget for hånd og fotografert uten digitale effekter. Illustrasjonene jeg har laget er trærne og dyrene i skogen. ALT DET ANDRE ARBEIDET er laget av min bror Jan Rune Blom. Sangen er “Var jeg en vind” av den norske sangeren og musiker Helene Bøksle (Sangen er hentet fra CDen “Morild”) Det har vær gøy å være med på å lage denne flotte videoen og se den bli til. In the Mist – making animation background.

In the Mist is a short film that is set in the same world as the picture book MistgriM, but has a different story. Here you see a animation background that is made for it, and the additional images shows how this is going to look with the figure in it. The background is made as one illustration, and then the foreground elements is cut out to place the figure inside. The animation itself will be done like classical cartoon, with hand drawn figures.

In the mist – sequence 1.

This is the tittle sequence from In the short film. Here is selected images from the finished animation. It contain the new Jinglepaper intro logo, and the short film tittle. It is made with a mix of watercolors, classical animation on paper and build in Photoshop.

From tomorrow and every Saturday in 2008 you will find A cup of TEA comic on the Jinglepaper.com website. It is a comic / diary about the forests on Earth. Every week you will find a new watercolor page in the diary.

In the Mist
Lot`s of illustrations, sketches and maybe some animation-sequences.

Comics and books
Jinglepaper Studio will in 2008 start to publish both comics and books. So there will be a online shop with various publications and stuff. A cup of TEA -collection book will hopefully be among the publications that will be ready this year.

Tegneserier og bøker.
Jinglepaper Studio vil i løpet at 2008 starte med å gi ut tegneserier og bøker. Utgivelsene vil være både på norsk og engelsk. Informasjon om de enkelte utgivelser vil komme etter hvert som de blir utgitt.

Mist color script

This is the first scene of the short, it is now made into a animated color script. When making animation, a color script will tell something about the look and feel of the finished movie. Colors alone can tell a story, so using it right it can bring emotions to the audience and help tell the tale. This one is also used as an test-animation for the first scene in the short.

In the Mist – animation test.

Here is the first animation test for In the Mist. This part is in cartoon form, based upon the bottle background that you find on a previews post on the blog, or in the design book. It is drawn by hand and colored in Photo Shop to give some idea on how it will look.
